Dear Pastors, Staff and Lay Leaders,

Under a series of Lilly Endowment grants I studied church vitality and excellence. I traveled to scores of churches and talked to hundreds of church leaders, pastors and staff across America. And what I found were two crucial needs:

1. The need to bring all congregants into the richness of church life, (while attracting the unchurched and what I call the "underchurched), so they might be closer to God and be enflamed to perform the ministry that is already planted in their hearts.

   The need to instill a deep sense of stewardship. Where returning some portion of time, talent, and treasure is properly seen as a holy and spiritual act -- so that our churches might burst forth with the power we all sense is there.

To meet those two needs I created two short, focused curriculums. New Beginnings 101, 201, 301: A New Way of Living a Christian Life is a powerful three week church revitalization program. New Beginnings: My Opportunity for Giving, another three week curriculum, brings members to joyfully experience stewardship as a way of life. I invite you to learn more about these two curriculums.
